Program Manager: John A. Steward

John A. Steward, MPH, joined the faculty of the Institute of Public Health in 2006 as an Academic Professional. Mr. Steward teaches public health courses and manages the Partnership for Urban Health Research. As program manager, he works with faculty to foster interdisciplinary research in the conditions that lead to adverse health outcomes and disparities in urban areas, including injury and violence prevention, chronic disease, mental health, alcohol and drug abuse, and infectious diseases. His research interests include community-level environmental health, housing and other built environment features, and community injury prevention.
