Urban Health Graduate Course (PH 7300)

The Institute of Public Health offers a graduate course on urban health annually.
The course explores the role of the urban context on the health of a population, from a multidisciplinary approach involving public health, psychology, sociology, law, criminal justice and other disciplines.  It considers the aspects of healthy places, the unique aspects of cities, the characteristics of urban populations, and a systems approach to studying urban health.  Most importantly, the course takes students out into the city to learn about various features that influence health.  It also provides an exposure to the research conducted by the faculty in the Partnership for Urban Health Research at Georgia State. See GoSOLAR for registration information.  Read More
